Band 7- MR Lead RadiographerInstitute for Neurological Sciences, QEUH Campus, GlasgowThe Institute of Neurological Sciences in Glasgow is currently inviting applications for a Lead MR Radiographer. This is a great opportunity for a hardworking individual, experienced in MR to join our highly skilled team and work closely with the Site/Sector Superintendent to deliver a quality service whilst meeting operational targets in this specialist Department collocated within the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, South Glasgow.The INS is one of the largest Neuroradiology Departments in Scotland providing secondary care for more than 900,000 people resident within the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area, and also tertiary care for the 3m people living across the West of Scotland. The Radiology department strives to provide excellent patient focussed care while providing an innovative learning environment which will allow the successful candidate to develop exceptional skills and knowledge in a wide range of specialist neurological examinations.The imaging equipment profile supporting these services includes, 2 CT scanners, Bi plane Interventional Laboratory, two recently installed MR scanners , a 1.5T MRI scanner and a 3T MR scanner , static and mobile general X-ray equipment. This is an exciting time to lead this team and be responsible for the operational management of two new MR scanners. You will be key to maintaining and developing clinical and professional standards with a commitment to support staff, undergraduate and post graduate student training and development whilst providing comprehensive and effective day-to-day management of the MR scanning facilities.It is essential that you are currently registered with the HCPC and that you have a BSc (Honours) Degree or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography substantial experience, some of which must be in MR. Post graduate MR qualification at Masters Level is desirable. Participation in extended working day / weekend working may be a requirement.
