An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Colorectal Cancer to join our Colorectal Surgical team here in the south sector Glasgow.You will have a defined caseload of patients with Colorectal cancer for whom you provide holistic person centered care throughout their journey. You will be directly responsible to the Band 8a team lead and the Lead Nurse for General Surgery, Vascular and Breast.You will be fundamental to Service development and collaborative working with the NHS Scotland cancer services, ensuring that this patient group receives the right care at the right time every time. The role requires you to support to the newly diagnosed patients and relatives ensuring a timely treatment plan, carry out Nurse Led Cancer follow-up clinics and provide continued psychological support and advice. As a member of the colorectal team you will be involved with the cancer vetting and triage of GP referrals.This post is an exciting development opportunity. You will be a registered nurse with degree or equivalent and evidence of significant experience working within this area.
