Job Description

The Regional Neuropsychology Services based at the Institute of Neurological sciences, Queen Elizabeth Hospital is a service providing highly specialised neuropsychological care for patients living with disorders of the central nervous system. The service provides input into a wide range of clinical services including neurology, neurosurgery, neuro rehabilitation (including brain injury), spinal injuries, prosthetics and the new West Of Scotland Major Trauma pathway. The Clinical Neuropsychology team work as part of a wider integrated multidisciplinary team including medical, nursing and AHP staff. The post provides an excellent opportunity to enhance clinical experience and to become involved in areas of research. The department has links with the University of Glasgow.Assistant Psychologists are required to contribute to the development, evaluation and delivery of psychological programmes as well as having a role within clinical teams. You will be provided with supervision and experience relevant to aspiring clinical and research psychologists. Continued professional development is encouraged in this post.The position requires a psychology degree awarded at 2:1 or above and have graduate basis for registration with BPS. Successful applicants will demonstrate high levels of professionalism and self-motivation.
