Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer / Manager to join a forward-thinking team with supportive and driven management who are looking to take the company on an exciting journey of growth.

  • Maintain and continually improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO9001.
  • Enhance the QMS to increase its effectiveness.
  • Rapidly identify the root causes of quality issues and work closely with the production team to implement necessary behavioural, process, and procedural changes to prevent recurrence.
  • Act as a key auditor of our quality systems to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Rigorous implementation of recording, reporting, and managing non-conforming products.
  • Ensure that lessons learned from quality issues are acted upon to prevent future occurrences, including modifying processing routes and operating procedures.

  • Lead auditing of corrective actions to verify the effectiveness of updated process control documents and ensure that localized training is in place and effective.
  • Quarantining non-conforming products in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ability to use CAD packages for troubleshooting inspection tasks.
  • Proofreading and issuing project-specific technical drawings.

  • Demonstrated quality leadership experience, and experience in maintaining ISO9001:2015 Quality Management Systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leader, secure in their abilities that will coach, train, and mentor other managers in their understanding and implementation of the Quality Management System
  • Precision in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Capability to work independently or collaboratively in teams with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, including proficiency in conducting thorough root cause analyses and formulating effective preventive action plans.
  • Proficient in utilizing problem-solving tools such as 8D, CAPA, 5Why.
  • Embraces a continuous improvement mindset, focusing on driving process enhancements and preventing future non-conformances.
  • Adept at documenting quality-related activities, investigations, and outcomes, with the ability to create clear and concise reports to communicate findings, trends, and improvement recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-player mentality.
  • Ability to prepare inspection reports/first article reports.
