Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting for a Principle Engineer, with a strong background in chemical manufacturing to join a leading manufacturing business based in Yorkshire. This is a career defining opportunity for someone with a strong chemical engineering or chemistry background looking to be an integral part of a growing technical team in 2024. The Principle Engineers duties and responsibilities will include:

Lead and drive on the continuous improvement culture across the plant
Specific focus on root cause issues that could be impacting downtime, operational performance and safety
Lead and participate in a range of hazard studies and process hazard reviews (HAZOP)
Implementing change management solutions in respect of the above as Principle Engineer you will bring others on this journey
Write operational reports based on data analyse
Lead on OEE improvement across the site
Implement operational excellence tools such as Kaizen, 5s etc
Coach and develop from a technical/chemical engineering perspective
Work collaborative across production, technical and maintenance teams

We are very keen to speak to you if you have the following skills and experience:

A minimum of 7+ years experience would be desirable, preferably within a challenging chemical environment
Strong HAZOP experience
Hold a degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry (or Masters preferred)
Six Sigma or Lean training and experience desirable
Demonstrate a progressive chemical engineering career looking for your next challenge in more of lead/senior role
