Audit and Accounts SeniorREED are currently partnered with a well-established firm with over 45 staff currently recruiting for a qualified or qualified by experience Audit and Accounts Senior to work within our audit department, to assist the partners and managers in delivery of statutoryaudit and accounts preparation services, and to manage and allocate work to audit trainees.We are a well-established firm specialising within the owner managed business area across the UK.In return the Audit and Accounts Senior role is offering a competitive salary with good career progression within the firm.The Audit and Accounts Senior duties will be:Planning and delivery of audit/accounts assignmentsPlan assignments in conjunction with the client partner or managerLead some of our largest and most complex assignmentsSupervise junior staff during the audit and review their workDeliver the audit file to the assignment manager or partner in a timely mannerManage client communication in effective mannerMonitor your chargeability and your assignment budgets pro-activelyCoach other staff for improved performance and technical developmentExperienceExperience of OMB/SME private company audits: planning, budget preparation, identifying key risks, developing an audit plan, executing the audit on siteKnowledge of and experience of current auditing standards and approaches: analytical review, documenting systems and controls, sampling techniquesSignificant prior experience of statutory company accounts preparation under UK GAAP, and also charities, friendly societies, solicitors and LLP’sIFRS knowledge would be useful but not essentialExperience of preparing and auditing consolidated accountsLeadership experience – experience supervising teams on-site and reviewing their workExperience of preparing budgets and monitoring actual time against budgetQualificationsACA/ACCA qualified or QBEThe Audit and Accounts Senior will have the following skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsGood attention to detailA strong interest in owner managed businesses and general commercial awarenessThe ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise effectivelyStrong interpersonal skillsPersonal Audit Senior QualitiesEnthusiastic with a positive attitudeAdaptablePersonableCourteous and professional
