Our Civil Engineering teams are responsible for the maintenance, refurbishment, and reinforcement of our existing network, as well as delivering new connections enabling renewables generation. And over the next five years, were investing over £1.3bn incleaner and smarter technology to help us achieve our Net Zero ambition. So, theres a range of exciting opportunities for our 2022 graduates to get involved in.The new £62 million 400kV substation at Branxton, East Lothian is just one of many dynamic projects on our grid. This project will enable connection of 2,300MW of offshore wind power and the East Coast subsea cable link to our network. With over 4,300kmof circuits and 156 transmission substations in our licenced areas, were investing significantly in modernisation and reinforcement programmes to protect supply for our customers, communities, and stakeholders.
