Job Description

Central Employment is working with a longstanding company in the eCommnerce Interiors sector with a track record of outstanding products and a work environment. They are looking for a Web Manager to join their talented eCommerce team as they seek to capitaliseon the rise in domestic demand for their products.We are seeking a talented and skilled Web Manager to their growing eCommerce team in Gateshead. With a strong online presence being crucial to our success, we are looking for an experienced individual who can effectively manage and optimize our websitesto enhance user experience, drive traffic, and maximize conversions. This position requires expertise in HTML, BigCommerce, WordPress, and SEO.Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive websites using HTML, CSS, and other web development technologies.
  • Utilize BigCommerce and WordPress platforms to build and customize websites to align with business requirements and branding guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, content creators, and marketing professionals, to create visually appealing and functional web pages.
  • Regularly update website content, including product listings, pricing, images, and descriptions.
  • Ensure seamless navigation, intuitive user interfaces, and overall website usability.
  • Troubleshoot website issues, conduct regular testing, and implement improvements to enhance performance and user experience.
  • Implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies to improve website visibility, organic rankings, and traffic.
  • Conduct keyword research, analyze web analytics data, and identify opportunities for SEO optimization.
  • Optimize website structure, meta tags, headings, and other elements to enhance search engine visibility and user engagement.
  • Monitor website performance metrics, including traffic, conversions, bounce rates, and user engagement.
  • Generate regular reports, interpret data, and provide actionable insights to improve website performance and SEO efforts.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, algorithm changes, and best practices related to web development and SEO.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in website development using HTML, CSS, and other relevant web technologies.
  • Proficiency in utilizing BigCommerce and WordPress platforms for website creation and customization.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Solid knowledge of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
