Westray Recruitment Group is looking to appoint an experiencedQuality Manager responsible for governing quality for all departments including suppliers, customers and third part auditors.The main objectives of the Quality Manager are to reduce NCRs, manage supply chain improvements, create product & process improvements, ensure customer satisfaction and ultimately help develop products in order to improve the overall business.WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

• Maintaining and improving the business Integrated Management System to include

• ISO9001 (2015)
• ISO14001 (2015)
• DAOS (MOD accreditation)
• AAOS (MOD accreditation)
• GFE
• Export Compliance
• REACH
• RoHs
• ISO45001

• Manage and implement other systems as required by the business
• Manage and participate in third party audits
• Monitor and regularly update the Legal and Regulatory compliance register
• Monitor and regularly update the Aspects and Impacts register
• Manage and perform internal and supplier audits
• Manage, participate and contribute in supplier, internal and customer Corrective and Preventative Analysis (CAPA)Create detailed and accurate investigation reports for internal and customer concerns Review engineering documents and specifications beforeissue to production
• Audit project management gates
• Audit products in manufacturing -
• Verify production data and sign off C of Cs as necessary
• Maintain instrument calibration system, documents and procedures
• Perform measurement system analysis (MSA)
• Create and maintain work instructions
• Participate and contribute in Process Failure Mode Affect Analysis (PFMEA) creation and maintenance
• Manage and participate in the MRB (Material Review Board) review process
• Ensure all nonconforming products are identified and controlled to company procedures
• Ensure records and documents are controlled to company procedures
• Perform incoming inspections to authorised specifications and drawings.
• Manager the day to day workload of a Quality Technician Third party audits
• Creation and control of documents and records
• Control of nonconforming product
• Customer, internal and supplier corrective and preventative actions and reporting Product inspections

WHAT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION

• Strong standard of relevant education
• Lead Auditor experienceTrained to ISO90012015 standards
• Proficient auditing skills, capable of finding deficiencies, reporting and working with the relevant department to ensure a timely closeout of corrective and preventative actions.
• Knowledge of Q-Pulse Document Management System is desirable
• The ability to lead a small team (up to 4)delivering all soft HR skills such as recruitment & selection, training & development, appraisals, grievance and discipline, etc.
• The ability to manage NCRs and perform root cause investigations
• Problem solving & reporting (8D)
• The ability to create PFMEAs and deliver PPAP studies
• Proficient with a wide array of quality tools and lean manufacturing techniques
• The ability to deliver value stream mapping
• Strong data management skillsanalysing presented statistical data to make informed judgements
• Strong communication skills with all stakeholders including customers, suppliers, operatives, management, etc
• Sound report writing skills
• The ability to provide clear leadership
• H&S knowledge and the ability to drive the business with regards ISO45001 is desirable
• Knowledge of DAOS/AAOS standards and familiarisation with IRIS rail transport is desirable
• Proven ability to work with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio

WHAT ARE THE FINER DETAILS OF YOUR ROLEThis is a permanent role from day one. The role centres on a standard 37.5-hour week.
