Job Description

Interaction Recruitment are currently representing a dynamic and innovative manufacturing company based in the Gateshead area, who are looking to add a Mechanical Technician to their team on a Permanent basis.Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings/diagrams to produce Special Purpose Automated Manufacturing Machinery.
  • Utilize hand-held tools, including hand and pillar drills, to assemble and fit mechanical components.
  • Assist in the delivery and installation of machinery at customer sites, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
  • Operate CNC/Manual lathes (highly desirable but not essential).
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence for company vehicle use to attend site visits for machinery delivery and installations.
  • Previous experience working with Pneumatics is a must.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to use hand-held tools effectively.
  • CNC/Manual lathe operation experience (desirable).
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Previous experience with Pneumatics is a must.
Company Package:
  • Competitive salary in the range of £31,000-£33,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:30 (with overtime available).
