Job Description

The Company MTrec are currently recruiting for a respected manufacturing company based in the Gateshead area. MTrec are currently looking for proactive individuals who are looking for a long term positionThe Role

  • Supervising onsite workers laying metal decking, and fixing safety netting and edge rails as the structure is built up
  • Ensure goods are produced to meet requirements in terms of H&S, quality, programme and cost
  • Provide inspired leadership for the organization
  • Make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions
  • Develop, implement and review operational policies and procedures
  • Training new and existing employees
  • Planning, assigning and directing work
  • Addressing employee performance and corrective action plans
    • The Person
  • Should have extensive management experience of general metalwork, fabrication and welding of structural steel
  • The ability to interpret and read workshop/design drawings and direct the design of the relevant components for cutting and folding in line with best practise manufacture
  • The ability to plan ahead, organise workload, work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate others
  • Must have CSCS card and ideally an IPAF license

  • Monday - Friday 07:00 - 17:00, hours may fluctuate due to business demand
    • The Pay
  • Between £27,000 - £36,000 depending on experience in the fabrication and steel erection industry.
