Teaching Assistant (Grade 4)

• Location: Gabalfa, Cardiff
• Salary: £12.82+
• Job Type: Permanent, Term Time (39 weeks per year including INSET days)
• Hours: 35 hours per week
• Start Date: September 2024

Our client is aSpecial School based in the Cardiff area, who is seeking highly motivated Grade 4 Teaching Assistants to join theirvibrant primary ALN setting. Our school supports pupils with a range of complex learning needs and speech and language difficulties.We are expanding and looking for dedicated individuals to be part of our growth and nurturing ethos. Day to day of the role:

• Work collaboratively within a team to support the learning and development of pupils with complex needs.
• Show initiative and contribute to creating a positive learning environment.
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of learning activities.
• Support pupils with speech and language difficulties.
• Engage with pupils to make the most of every learning opportunity.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Initiative and a proactive approach to supporting children’s learning.
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) as per the Education (Wales) Act 2014.
• Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check is required.
