Role: SEN Teaching Assistant G4 L2Start date : 07/09/2022Salary: £77-80/day -Hours: Monday - Friday, 08.30-15.30 term time only (potential for permanent position from October)Are you a looking for work as an SEN Teaching Assistant Or in the care sector searching for new opportunitiesReed Education are currently working with a primary special school who are looking for Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of complex learning needs and developmental language disorders (DLD).The role:You will be supporting children between the ages of 4-11 years, within small group learning. The children will require various learning communication needs such as Makaton/PECs visual strategies and interactive IT. Currently the school supports not only pupilswith DLD, but Autism/social communication, Global Development Delay, Down Syndrome as well as physical/medical needs.As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will need to have a warm and positive approach with the children being the centre of all learning. Encompassing a nurturing and caring environment, for the pupils to feel inspired to develop and learn.Experience within a similar environment, Makaton, or PECs, is an advantage but not essential.What we need from you: Experience in working with individuals with SEN, Autism, Down Syndrome, complex needs. Provide feedback and assistance to the teachers.
