Job Description

  • Are you an experienced Warehouse Operative, Hospital Porter, Night Porter or Kitchen Porter
  • Have you gained experience within a Hospital, Healthcare or Public Sector environment
  • Do you have a valid DBS on the update service or a valid DBS dated within the last 12 months
  • If you do not yet hold a valid DBS, are you happy to apply for a DBS as part of your application (A valid in date DBS is required in order to commence employment)
  • Are you available immediately to work between Monday - Sundays, working shifts between 8am - 9pm (37.5 hours per week)
    • If so, I would love to speak with you, as our NHS client are currently seeking a number of experienced Porters to join their department.Hospital PorterMy NHS client based in Slough is looking for experienced Porters to work within their busy departmentsLocation: SloughDuration: Expected to last 3 monthsHours: Monday to Sundays, working either of the following shifts (37.5 hours perk week) with potential overtime:
  • 8:30am to 5pm
  • 10am to 6pm
  • 3pm to 9pm
  • 8pm to 8am
  • 8am to 8pm
    • Salary:
  • Monday to Friday 6am to 8pm Rate: £9.77 paye inclusive of Holiday pay
  • Monday to Friday 8pm to 6am Rate: £11.00 paye inclusive of Holiday pay
  • Saturday Rate: £11.00 paye inclusive of Holiday pay
  • Sunday Rate: £13.60 paye inclusive of Holiday pay
  • Bank Holiday Rate: £13.60 paye inclusive of Holiday pay
    • Responsibilities:
  • Help with the transportation of patients moving hospital beds and wheelchairs across the hospital
  • Ensure equipment is ready for use. This relates to operating tables and accessories, oxygen equipment, trolleys
  • Ensure equipment is maintained in clean and safe working order
  • Monitor & replace oxygen cylinders as required
  • Collect blood for transfusion when required, return when necessary and transport specimens to Labs
  • Transport and dispose of waste in accordance with hospital policy
  • Clean operating theatre floors after use, and any other equipment necessary
  • Maintain the general cleanliness of the department by assisting other porters in cleaning departments
  • Undertake occasional specific cleaning duties when requested
  • Maintain security within the department
