Job Description

A brand new state-of-the-art Fradley based residential home that offers over 90 en-suite bedrooms across a number of households is actively recruiting for a Caretaker / Handyperson.You will have the opportunity to gain a contract based on 35 hours a week with anHourly pay rate of £10.18 per hourThe role as a caretaker in this luxurious property is to;

  • Carry out general repair and maintenance work
  • Complete weekly/monthly health and safety checks
  • DIY tasks such as painting and decorating and other odd jobs such as repairing shelves, doors etc
  • Replacing internal and external lights and reporting any damage and repair needs
  • Keep pathways, car parks and communal areas swept clean and free of litter and grit the areas in bad weather
  • Ensure low level gutters and drains are clear
  • Ensure bin areas are clean and tidy
  • Maintain stock of products needed for the maintenance of the site.
We are keen to speak with caretaker with the following attributes;
  • Experience in any general maintenance, construction, plumbing, electrical background would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Approachability: a willingness to help others, requiring patience, kindness and good communication
  • Co-operation: work together with your colleagues, customers and families
  • Open and honest, respectful and celebrate diversity, connect with colleagues and residents to celebrate uniqueness
