Ofsted Registered Manager£28,000- £35,000 Depending on experiencePermanent Position working 9am - 5pm Mon - FriWe are looking for a Registered Manager to run a small childrens home in Wellingborough. The home provides care and support for two children with learning disabilities.Responsibility for the day to day running and management of the homeProviding guidance, mentoring and support and supervision for a team of support workersUnderstanding and meeting the needs of and promoting the development of the childrenWorking in partnership with parents, carers and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young peopleStrong knowledge of the Childrens Homes Regulations including the quality standards and the Social care common inspection frameworkAbility to participate in On-Call-Manager Rota and take calls out of hours.Safe holding and physical intervention.Physical activities with young people.Job RequirementsMinimum 3 years work experience working with Young People within a residential environment including 2 years at senior level.Experience of working with children with learning disabilitiesBe able to demonstrate auditing, managing budgets and monitoring skillsCan evidence knowledge of Reg 44 and Reg 45 reporting.Can demonstrate how to develop a staff team to ensure they have clear vision and goals.Experience of attending formal meetings and preparing formal reports.Can evidence experience of working with multi-disciplinary teamsDiploma or NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young Peoples Workforce.Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.Must produce satisfactory enhanced DBSFull UK Driving Licence (Required)
