Service Technician (Trainee Engineer) required by expanding business supplying and servicing Environmental Monitoring Systems to the pharmaceutical industry and NHS hospital trusts. Based inFinchampstead, nr Wokingham / Camberley, Berkshire £18K-£22K depending on skills and experience. Excellent career opportunity for the right candidate as the role has the potential to develop into a Service Engineer position over time. Previous experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided. Company van provided following probationary period.Joining our growing Service department, you will be required to support the calibration engineers in performing on-site calibrations on a wide variety of instrumentation that make up our environmental monitoring systems at sites across the South of England. In addition, technicians will be given training, and the opportunity to learn from engineers with a view to potential progression to engineer in the future.You will provide practical assistance to Calibration Engineers throughout the routine on-site calibrations/service at customer sites. This will largely involve working in clean room facilities and plant areas. Generation and completion of calibration certification to a high standard. Contributing to the support/service team in other ways when possible.Key Skills:Good practical aptitude is required together with a general interest in technology and computing. Previous experience in calibration or maintenance is preferred, but not essential as job-specific training will be given. Good levels of numeracy and literacy with experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook) are preferable, as well as a conscientious approach to work with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy. Technicians will be working predominantly as part of a team however, displaying initiative when required and possessing the flexibility to take on new tasks when necessary.Qualifications:GCSE Maths, English and Science at Grade C or above with a proactive and enthusiastic approach to work and the desire to learn new skills.
