Job Description

SIG Plc. is a leading supplier of specialist building materials to trade customers across Europe with strong positions in its core markets as a specialist distributor of insulation and interiors products and as a merchant of roofing and exteriors products.We are currently looking to recruit a Brand Managerbased at our sales office in Bristolwho will work closely alongside the branch management team to effectively manage the brands, selling products (ceilings, partitions, and drylining to name a few) while managing a team.What does the role involveAs Brand Manager, you will head up the sales strategy within your brands, ensuring the growth of sales, margin and profitability within your brand, whilst working closely with other branches and their brands to maximise the strength of SIGas a whole.The role holder must be driven to achieve and support others towards high performance levels across all KPI’s. As a Brand Manager, you will be a lead figure within the branch for your brand and will manage key stakeholders and suppliers whofall within your brand. You will be working with different suppliers and will be responsible for growing the sales within the branch, creating a sales strategy for the brands and maximising sales opportunities. Knowledge of pricing, rebate terms and the sectors SIG operate in are essential.The successful candidate will require:• Successful sales management experience, with strong decision-making ability and in-depth knowledge and understanding of an effective sales function and best practices• A minimum of 3 years’ demonstrable experience managing a £5m brand• Previous exposure to all aspects of branch operations, including sales, transport, pricing, rebate terms and stock control, with knowledge of the different sectors SIG operate in• A flair for customer service, with a can-do attitude and the drive to succeed• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with strategic thinking, influencing and negotiating skills• Strong business, commercial and financial acumen, with a pragmatic, professional and enthusiastic approach• Advanced IT skills, especially in MS Excel and previous experience of CRM’sIn return we offer:• Highly Competitive salary with annual pay award and excellent bonus scheme• 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.
