Job Description

Right Now Group are delighted to be working with a large freight forwarder, who are looking for a security guard to join their team due to expansion of a contract.Do you have a passion for excellence and an inquisitive eye for detail. Do you care about security, surveillance and monitoring If so, this role could be for you!Job Responsibilities of a Security Guard:

  • Monitor and control access points to the warehouse, ensuring that only authorised personnel enter the premises.
  • Verify identification of employees, visitors, and contractors, and issue appropriate identification badges or passes.
  • Conduct regular checks of access control systems to ensure they are functioning
  • Maintain a constant presence throughout the warehouse, reception, conducting patrols to deter potential security threats.
  • Monitor security cameras and other surveillance systems to detect any suspicious activities or
  • Respond promptly to alarms or alerts, investigating any potential security incidents or
  • Collaborate with warehouse personnel to conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prevent theft or loss.
  • Verify that all incoming and outgoing shipments align with the documented records, conducting spot checks when necessary.
  • Regularly inspect the warehouses perimeter, checking fences, gates, and other entry points for any signs of tampering or vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with the facility management to ensure the implementation and maintenance of effective perimeter security measures such as CCTV cameras, motion sensors, and
  • Act as a first responder during emergencies, promptly notifying the relevant emergency services and guiding employees or visitors to safety.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all security-related incidents, including theft attempts, unauthorised access, or safety hazards.
  • Provide timely reports to management, ensuring that proper follow-up actions are taken to address security concerns.
