Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Air Import clerk. The company are a niche sector Freight Forwarder based in the Heathrow area.Responsibilities:-Have a strong working knowledge of customs requirements relating to air import consignments.Develop working relationships with customers.Liaise with all relevant internal departments with regards to shipments.Liaise with AirlinesArrange airline collectionsOrganise import clearances, and correct documentation relating to the movement of cargo.Provide a high level of customer service (pro-actively communicate with parties involved)Key point of contact for Air Import customersStrong Administration and communication skillsSelf-managing and pro-activeAbility to work in a team environment.Dealing with any queries or problems with regards to customers and shipments.Skills & Experience3 years previous experience in the freight forwarding industry handing air import.Experience working with general Import shipments of all descriptions / commodities.Strong IT skills & proficiency in MS Office.Strong English, written & verbal communication skills.Confident, adaptable & proactive in your approach.Ability to multi-task and prioritise assignments based on urgency.Confident in using sound knowledge & good judgement for best practice.Ability to make good decisions within the correct timeframes.Work well in time sensitive situationsWorking hours are Monday - Friday 0900 - 1730As an agency we are fast becoming the number one Freight specialist in the UK.
