Job Description

BlairWest is currently recruiting for an Inventory and Planning Administrator to join our distribution focussed client based in Gateshead.The role will be responsible for supporting the planning manager in creating a production schedule, creation and issuing of assembly orders to warehouse and production, posting warehouse and production transactions and maintaining stock accuracy using the company’s ERP system.The Role:

  • Assisting in creation of weekly and monthly planning schedules;
  • Help to collate data on efficiency of production and warehouse activities;
  • Help ensure stock accuracy and availability;
  • Raising request to buying team to expedite materials when current delivery could impact the schedule;
  • Raising and posting of assembly orders to ensure stock availability for despatch schedules;
  • Communicating and coordinating with other departments when delivery performance is at risk.
  • The Individual:
  • Previous experience as an administrator in technical environment;
  • Time management skills;
  • Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Must have experience of using ERP systems and Microsoft Office products in particular Excel;
  • Experience of managing food and lot-controlled items would be advantageous;
  • Must possess good problem-solving skills.
