Job Description

Finance Business Partner - Defence sector Join our team as a Finance Business Partner and contribute to creating a safe and secure world. Based at our HNMB Clyde Faslane site, this role offers a unique opportunity to support and analyse key contracts, ensuring the provision of accurate and timelyfinancial information.

Salary: Up to £50,000 Dependent on Experience + Bonus + PMI
Location: Faslane, Helensburgh
Mandatory:Must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.

Day to day of the role:

Provide support to the Future Maritime Support Programme (FMSP) Lot 3 contract work streams.
Maintain the Estimate At Completion, reflecting the costs to be incurred and the expected savings.
Assist the Transformation team with the submission of benefits papers and understanding the assumptions that underpin the results.
Support the Head of Finance in keeping the accounting paper up to date.
Engage with key stakeholders to ensure risks are understood and highlighted where appropriate.
Review financial or contractual documentation and participate in discussions across many disciplines to solve financial or contractual problems.

This full-time position requires a 37-hour work week with hybrid working arrangements, including the expectation to be onsite once a week. Required Skills & Qualifications:

Recognised professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS) or equivalent/similar.
Experience in complex finance procedures and processes with the ability to simplify complex issues.
Autonomous working capability and the ability to challenge and innovate within established procedures.
Demonstrable experience in stakeholder engagement to ensure risks are understood and highlighted.
Proficiency in processing large volumes of information with attention to detail.
Experience with long-term contracts and/or within a similar industry is desirable but not essential.
Must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
