Electrical Fitter (Estates Maintenance) Ref - SF31614HMNB Clyde, Faslane/CoulportSalary £31,164 About the role Here at Babcock Marine Clyde we currently have opportunities for four experienced Electrical Fitters to join our Estates Management team which is responsible for investigating and diagnosing electrical faults, carrying out repairs and conducting scheduled maintenance activities at HMNB Clyde and RNAD Coulport. Specific responsibilities will include carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on Electrical distribution equipment, LTHW, MTHW & Steam heating systems and associated distribution equipment, HVAC systems, overhead cranes and other facilities equipment in all areas of the depot. It is important that applicants are comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces and inclement weather conditions. The salary for this role is £31,164. What do I need to do the roleYou will have previous Electrical Fitter experience and a recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship qualified to SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent). You will demonstrate a strong team ethic and a focus on delivering high quality workmanship to agreed timescales. Ideally, you would have previous experience of working in an environment where activities were governed by strict working procedures. Experience of working with a wide variety of different systems commonly found in engineering environments would be an advantage. We are particulary interested in candidates with High Voltage maintenance or repair experience. You must also hold a valid UK driving licence, and be eligible to gain UK SC level security clearance. What else do I need to knowTwo posts are based at HMNB Clyde and two posts at RNAD Coulport just north of Helensburgh in the West of Scotland.
