Job Description

Finance Administrator£22,000- £24,000 per annumEmployer contribution to the State pension28 days paid annual leave (including bank and public holidays)Friendly, dynamic and flexible workplaceFree parking available on sitePOST Recruitment are recruiting for a Finance Administrator to join a family run business based in PudseReporting to the Director, you will responsible for:

  • Inputting all approved non-stock purchase invoices
  • Reconciling AP accounts
  • Reconciliation of all bank accounts
  • Purchase Ledger payment runs
  • Statement requests
  • Credit control
  • Stock reconciliation - producing monthly stock location reports and making any necessary adjustments
  • Twice yearly stock takes including reconciliation
  • Maintaining asset register
  • Updating depreciation schedule
  • Calculating monthly depreciation
  • Posting and reconciling all intercompany accounts
  • Quarterly VAT - Dual
  • Checking / Posting staff expenses
  • Managing company credit cards
  • Overseeing the company vehicles, insurances etc
  • Assisting with annual audit
  • Filing
Other admin tasks as directed by the team may include:
  • Answering phones and greeting guests when in the office
  • Keeping a tidy and appropriate reception area
  • Managing schedules for appointments and deadlines
  • Taking clear messages and communicating effectively with customers, clients, team members, and management
  • Developing and maintaining administrative processes
  • Keeping an organised file system
Requirements:
  • Proven work experience as a finance administrator or similar
  • Practical experience with accounting software (ideally Sage), spreadsheets (such as MS Excel), and databases (such as MS Access)
  • Able to quickly learn and adapt to new software and processes
  • A solid understanding of bookkeeping procedures including crediting and debiting appropriate accounts, posting entries to ledger accounts, and reconciling accounts
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well in a team environment and with upper management
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet all deadlines
  • Always keeps the highest standards of compliance and confidentiality
