Job Description

Chief Digital and Technology Officer - 6477 We are Save the Children. Our vision is to move us to an iterative, agile, design-thinking culture, with the technology to underpin it. We are on a journeyto change our CRM, harness AI, drive innovation and the incubation of new ideas, improve service delivery to internal customers, and support wider strategic and digital delivery.To achieve this, we need a new and innovative Chief Digital and Transformation Officer (CDTO) to work alongside our executive leadership team. You will lead the delivery and evolution of our DDaT strategy, acting as a change agent to delivera fundamental shift in both mindset and culture, and capabilities and ways of working, to drive clear business outcomes.As an established transformative leader, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Both leading a capable team of DDaT professionals and working within a matrix across our organisation to drive engagement and delivery.
  • Partnering with a highly capable executive team as a trusted strategic advisor and change agent.
  • Accelerating our journey to drive the utilisation of data for strategic decision making.
  • Finalising a new target operating model to deliver world-class technology services and digital ways of working.
  • Applying strategic vision to ensure that we have a market leading digital strategy to take us into the future with total preparedness.
  • Fully mapping and understand our technology estate as part of our legacy technology migration and CRM implementation.
  • Leading our cloud journey to further improve accessibility, security and our platforms for future ways of working.
  • Building a culture of customer experience and centricity (whether internal or external) and empowering teams to innovate.
  • Embedding agile ways of working, the adoption of multi-disciplinary teams, and iterative ways of working.
  • Building agency and a culture of enabled self-service throughout Save the Children UK.
  • Owning the business case process and steering investment across DDaT as a function.
  • Ensuring robust security across our entire technology estate and preparing us for the possible threats of the future.
As our new CDTO, you will show us the art of the possible and unlock capabilities to further improve the work that the charity does to improve the lives of children.
