Job Description

Services business based in the Farnworth area requires a Purchase Ledger Clerk. Reporting to the Finance Team Leader, this is an excellent role for someone who is looking to come into an established business and work in a motivated team. The role offershybrid working and excellent holidays and benefits.Duties of the role will include:

  • To process purchase invoices - register and process for logging or posting.
  • Matching invoices against purchase orders and GRN.
  • Manage supplier payments, both domestic and foreign, including ad-hoc pro-forma invoice payments.
  • Distribute invoices for sign-off and ensure invoices are returned authorised in time for processing.
  • Chase VAT invoices to ensure they are received in a timely manner.
  • Manage and resolve internal and external queries, end to end.
  • Liaise with purchasing department on price or quantity discrepancies.
  • Liaise with purchasing department to manage the booking in of goods.
  • To update payment forecasts.
  • Post supplier payments
  • Monthly supplier statement reconciliations and pursue outstanding invoices.
  • Maintain a good relationship with suppliers.
  • Additional support to the wider finance department as required, to include timesheet data collation.
