Job Description

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is an integrated provider of acute, intermediate and community health care serving the population of Bolton. It is also supported by our Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professional Framework for Professional Practice.The Acute Adult Care Division is one of four Clinical Divisions in the Trust that includes Emergency Care, Complex Care and Specialist Medicine. The Division contains the busiest single site Emergency Department in Greater Manchester and has inpatient wards providing acute medicine, rehabilitation and specialist medicine services. It provides a range of specialist out-patient and community services and is committed to providing excellent clinical performance and patient care.Bolton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Cardiology Department are seeking an experienced echocardiographer to join our busy and friendly team. The successful candidate will be BSE accredited and be competent to issue independent echo reports and provide teaching for medical and physiologist staff in echocardiography. The department performs ~7,000 Transthoracic echocardiograms per annum as well as TOE and DSE. The department has 1xGE Vivid I, 1 x GE Vivid Q, 1 x GE Vivid IQ, 1 x GE E9 and 2 x GE E95 and uses the McKessen reporting system. The echo department holds weekly clinical meetings and monthly staff meetings and supports CPD for all staff with attendance at local and national meetings.We currently have one Imaging Consultant Cardiologist and are hoping to recruit a second in the near future.The aims of this Trust are to improve the health of and provide the best possible care to the population in which we serve and ensure that our staff have joy and pride in their work.
