Job Description

The CompanyYou will join a well respected business who have a large influence within their sector across the UK & Ireland.The RoleReporting into the Procurement Manager you will deliver the following key duties-

  • Negotiating supplier product, service, quality, pricing and payment terms
  • Sourcing new products and suppliers from both inside and outside the UK
  • Identifying Procurement needs and developing a Strategy to provide clear focus
  • Benchmarks & tenders (in conjunction with the Procurement Manager)
  • Proactive engagement in SRM for approved and potential supply partners, including supplier meetings
  • Updating and maintaining supplier records
  • Work with the Head of Procurement to understand Sustainable Procurement Strategy
What youll need to succeedYou will have career experience and achievement in a commercial Procurement / Purchasing environment which allows you to demonstrate experience in negotiation, supplier management and procurement objective delivery. Alongside this you will be able to demonstratean analytical, hard working and professional approach to your work with excellent communication skills across stakeholders & suppliers.The role would suit a candidate with experience at Buyer, Category Buyer, Senior Buyer or Procurement Officer level looking for a new career challenge with a business that can demonstrate a track record of people development.What youll get in returnYou will receive a salary dependant on experience plus benefits and CIPS Support (if required).What you need to do nextIf potentially interested, please apply at your earliest opportunity or for a confidential discussion please contact Colin Leach at Rise Resourcing.
