Job Description

A job for life with a truly fantastic, ethical brand with wonderful management and can boast longevity from its staff.OverviewI am delighted to be exclusively retained by my client who are looking for a new Accounts Manager to join the team.The company itself has been established for many years with a proven track record of sustainability and growth but one with incredibly strong values not only into service delivery, but also the well- being of their staff.This is a small, established but well respected, well accredited brand with UK representation so its all hands to the pumps to ensure incredible service is given to its members.This is an office based role, Monday - Friday 9-5 with on-site parking and additional benefits.The role of Accounts ManagerResponsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the Accounts DepartmentAnalysing accounting data and financial reports.Overseeing the Sales Ledger and Sales Order, Purchase / Nominal Ledgers and Purchase Ordering.Ensuring accurate submission of the Month End Procedures within efficient timelines.Preparation of monthly management accounts including BACS paymentsCredit Insurance applications/approvals and accruals/prepayments.Performing Credit Control, including Bank and Control Account reconciliations.Development of accurate financial reporting systems in SAGE 200.Liaising with company accountant as and when required.Invoicing Members for annual subscriptions, product, accommodation and other recharges.Invoicing approved Suppliers for contributions to events and publications.Generating payments in foreign currencies to overseas Suppliers.Overseeing of the PO procedures including back orders and control of purchase invoice queries.Managing the Purchase Ledger including reconciliation of supplier statements to ledger accountsIssuing monthly consolidated sales invoicesCalculating and processing paymentsPerforming VAT on accrual basis.Managing company expenses including control for P11D purposes.Administering Sundry purchase ledger entries (minimal).As Accounts Manager you will be working closely with the CEO (a very down to earth, engaging and inspiring manager)About youAn experienced Accounts Manager who has an ethical leadership styleA positive attitude and team player mentalityAnalytical abilities and strong attention to detail.Ability to make decisions and prioritise own workload and that of the team with a proactive and flexible approach.Detailed knowledge of Sage 200.Experience working with cash flow forecasts and budget preparation.Excellent knowledge of double entry book-keeping.Ability to prioritise and execute tasks effectively in a timely manner.Ability to demonstrate excellent numeracy and organisational skills.Ability to always act with discretion and confidentiality.Good knowledge of Microsoft packages (Excel, Word and Outlook) is essential.Experience working within a team-oriented, collaborative and fast paced environment.Education/Experience/Qualifications:Minimum requirement - Undergraduate degree is essential, preferably in accounting.Minimum of 3 years continuous experience in and accounting role.Experienced in hands-on, lead by example managementIf this sounds like the perfect Accounts Manager role for you, then apply now for a quick decision.
