Job Description

Our Client a Market Leading International business are currently recruiting for a Payroll Specialist to join the team in the Farnham, Surrey office but will initially be working remotely from home.Client DetailsOur Client a Market Leading International business are currently recruiting for a Payroll Specialist to join the team in the Farnham, Surrey office but will initially be working remotely from home.DescriptionAs the Payroll Specialist you will be responsible for:Processing payroll and assisting the Payroll Manager to manage the team and payroll submissions for circa 3000 employees as required.

  • Ensuring all allocated payrolls are produced (planned, completed & validated) both accurately and on time
  • Using your professional judgement escalate and make the Head of Payroll aware of issues as they arise during the payroll processing cycle
  • Ensure all variable pay instructions from T&A or other means is processed
  • Maintain T&A for changes in working patterns, Joiners and Leavers
  • Process Salary Sacrifice deductions whilst maintaining Minimum Wage Compliance
  • Producing and submitting BACS and any 3rd party payment files
  • Comply with all statutory guidance both existing and future changes i.e. calculations for holidays, SMP, SSP, SPP, P11D and P60s
  • Processing HMRC year end, RTI and pension auto-enrolment files
  • Producing, validating and sharing payroll outputs including payslips, KPIs and MI reports
  • Using your experience process and manage data from the different stages of the business This will include data cleansing, GDPR compliance, document retention and handling
  • Communicating pro-actively to customers and responding to queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Pro-actively making recommendations for improvements to existing processes to ensure they are legal, efficient, robust and mitigate risk to the business
  • To support the effective implementation of payroll projects to drive continuous process improvements to make the payroll operation as efficient as possible
  • Support the development of training materials, user guides and policies to support new and existing processes
  • Profile
  • Solid Payroll Administration experience covering all aspects of Payroll processing
  • Experience with supervising and developing other team members is beneficial but not essential
  • Experience of developing continuous improvement payroll projects
  • Basic payroll systems configuration
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent relationship building capability
  • Experience using the Resourcelink / Arinso / Northgate systems is beneficial but not essential
