Job Description

Small but successful property construction business close to Farnham requires a qualified Part-Time Finance Manager with experience of working in a standalone book-keeping for finance role for a small business to manage the entire accounts function for 3 group businesses including payroll responsibilities. The business is located on the edge of town and employs a small team who are office based.16 hours a week - including a Tuesday which can be completed over 2-3 days.

  • Full responsibility for preparing accounts to trial balance
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Report weekly cashflow forecast and projections to the Director
  • Process Accounts Payable and prepare weekly supplier payment report with notated actions for the Director
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Input Accounts Receivable invoices onto Sage.
  • Process contractor timesheets onto Sage.
  • Timely payments HMRC, PAYE and CIS
  • Organise and keep a schedule of insurances for the businesses.
  • Full management of block management accounts eg collection of ground rents, chase late payments by owners.
  • Management of HR File and administration and liaison with 3rd party HR provider.
  • Essential skills and Experience for the Part-Time Finance Manager
  • Must be MAAT/CIMA/ACCA qualified
  • Competent use of Sage Payroll and Sage Accounting
  • Intermediate to advanced level user of Excel
  • Competent preparing accounts Trial Balance
  • Experience of small business accounting eg data processing as well as technical accounting.
  • Competent in the production of VAT returns
  • CIS knowledge desirable but not essential.
  • Sound AP/AR and credit control experience.
  • Experience of maintaining HR files and liaising with 3rd party HR for support and advice to ensure the business is compliant.
  • Willing to work as a team with the EA to Director and Office Co-Ordinator including answering overflow calls etc.
