We are a prestigious school based just outside of Farnham who are seeking an additional Catering AssistantTerm Time Only to join our busy and friendly kitchen team. Applicants with relevant catering or hospitality experience are encouraged to apply, howeverthis isnt essential.Reporting to the Catering Manager, we are seeking candidates with a can do attitude to join our busy kitchen team. You will be required to work term time only and also be available to assist with occasional functions. Working Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm,in return we can offer an annual salary of up to £19,910. (paid monthly), plus free parking, free lunches, holiday allowance and pension.The main duties for the Kitchen Porter will include: To clean and wash up all kitchen and service items in an efficient manner. To assist in the preparation of food as required. To keep the kitchen and refectory areas in a clean and tidy state at all times. To operate heavy equipment according to manufactures instructions. To project a willing and helpful attitude to customers. To be customer-focused at all times, approachable and quick to exceed expectations in fulfilling customerneeds. To treat your team members as you would expect to be treated. To co-operate with all team members and undertake duties in the kitchen / service areas as requested toensure an efficient and effective service is delivered at all times. To attend health and safety and food safety training courses as required. To ensure cleaning areas under your control are maintained to the School and COSHH standards. To rigorously follow the unit cleaning schedules.To be successful you will ideally have relevant experience within a similar role, however this isnt essential. You will have a can-do attitude, excellent communication skills and a be a strong team player who is happy to help out where required. Exposureto Health and Safety, Food Safety and First Aid Guidelines are highly appealing, however again this isnt essential. Our kitchen team are a friendly group, so this role will suit a candidate who is easy to get on with and happy to learn as they go.A uniform will be provided and due to the nature of the position, it is subject to an Enhanced DBS clearance and the receipt of satisfactory references.This is an excellent opportunity to work within a prestigious school paying a competitive salary and offering a long-term career.
