Job Description

Are you an aspiring or experienced Business Development Executive or Sales Executive looking for a new challenge that you can genuinely make your own Do you thrive on finding and securing new business and fancy working with a unique propositionThis Business Development Coordinator role will also involve directly supporting the Group Client Director to maximise the revenue by generating new and existing introducers whilst working closely with internal teams.You will be responsible for contacting prospective businesses to sell the benefits; specifically with a view to create a VAT Partnership, ultimately securing an appointment for the Group Client Director to visit and close the sale.Responsibilities of the Business Development Coordinator

  • To meet monthly KPIs with regards to calling prospective clients to successfully secure appointments for the Group Client Director.
  • Arrange and attend meetings with VAT Partnership clients and the External Sales Team where appropriate, to discuss their current portfolio and assess areas for potential growth
  • Liaise closely with the Group Client Director to coordinate diaries and appointments, ensuring appointment opportunities are maximised with regard to timings and locations of visits.
  • Research and generate new leads to approach.
  • Create and build a sales pipeline, ensuring the CRM is updated with good-quality notes following all client communication.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for cross-selling products and services to generate business and increase profitability.
  • Build and maintain effective client relationships with regular updates to clients, overcoming possible objections.
  • Submit regular progress reports to the Group Client Director.
working hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am-5.30pm, and Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm.Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 1 year of proven telesales, lead generation or appointment setter experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of previous experience in account management.
  • Demonstrable drive with a positive approach to work and a determination and motivation to achieve targets.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A clear telephone manner and clear listening skills.
  • Excellent customer focus and strong client management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and good time management.
  • Resilient and proactive with a passion and energy for sales.
  • A team player with a flexible approach.
  • Full knowledge of the end-to-end sales process.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and cope with competing demands.
  • Ability to use initiative and pay close attention to detail.
  • Capable of hands-on problem-solving with the ability to generate ideas and solutions.
Desired Skills
  • Previous experience working within logistics
  • Previous experience working within the Financial Industry
  • An understanding of VAT processes
