Job Description

A great opportunity for a hands-on, experienced Assistant Management Accountant or someone looking for the next step in their career. Working within the construction industry and supporting the Head of Finance to ensure accurate and timely financialreporting. Duties will involve:General ledger:

  • Revenue and invoicing
  • Accruals
  • Prepayments
  • Fixed Assets accounting including depreciation
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • VAT returns & CIS Submissions/calculations
Ensure that controls and processes are followed on all General Ledger entriesSupport in the preparation of the annual budget Assist with the production of monthly and quarterly forecasts including identification of issues and opportunitiesAssist with the production of monthly P&L including variance analysisAssist with the production of a comprehensive set of KPIs that drive business decisions.Support the preparation of the trading review analysis to the Management Team & DirectorsAssist with the management of cash balances including weekly cash forecasting, payment runs and debt collections.Preparation of weekly payment runs to comply with supplier terms and expected cashflowsDeputise for the Head of FinancePerson Spec:Happy to work in a fast paced entrepreneurial environmentExperienced in general accounts and an understanding of double entry book-keepingExperienced in analysing data and producing financial information analysis (desirable)Ability to prioritise, remain resilient under pressure and take ownership and accountabilityParking, flexible on hours (generally 8.30am to 5pm), office based, Pension, Life Insurance.
