Job Description

Five Education are working with a SEMH school based in Bath who is looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will have previous experience supporting secondary aged students with SEMH (social, emotional and mental health needs).Responsibilities and duties:

Working alongside the class teacher, helping to keep students engaged

To support students working within the academy’s alternative curriculum

Positively reinforcing students who are struggling with their work

Working with individuals or groups of students to support their engagement

Establish positive relationships with students build on trust and respect

Promote positive behaviour in line with school policies

Essential Criteria:

Experience working with students with SEMH/SEN

Team Teach trained would be an advantage

Experience working with disengaged children/ students

Ability to remain calm in challenging situations

Have a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa)

Two recent child based references and relevant DBS/ Police checks

Able to work 8:30-3.30, 5 days per week term time only
