Job Description

Credit Control/ Agile Working/ Salary + Bonus/ Excellent Benefits/ Study Support I am looking for a skilled Credit Controller to join my South Manchester client (An industry leading and globally operating service provider) to enhance their Credit Management function and reduce credit risk.My client can offer flexible and agile working (3 days from the office/ 2 days WFH) and several benefits including private health and travel insurance.This role will suit a motivated, positive and target driven individual who has extensive experience of credit risk.

  • Manage payments and mitigate risk across all areas of the business to support sales growth and minimise bad debt.
  • Management of new credit accounts - including credit checking, obtaining credit insurance or appropriate security, and set up on all departmental systems
  • Maintain and review appropriate credit lines for existing customers
  • Ensure order approvals for customers with restricted credit in place, obtaining pre-payment as required
  • Complete credit risk assessments as required, including financial analysis and detailed reporting
  • Manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Report daily to the business on any breaches and taking necessary action to mitigate risk.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the department
  • Management of internal queries about payments, ensuring faster payment of outstanding balances
  • Proactively managing the collection of all payments and debts for Key account customers
  • Maintaining regular contact with the credit ledger to ensure timely payments are made
  • Support the Sale Ledger department with customer queries and resolutions
Requirements:
  • Previous experience of credit risk analysis in a business-to-business, credit control capacity
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage customer relationships in a professional manner.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Strong level of numeracy
  • Excellent ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
  • Ability to understand problems quickly and communicate complex issues in simple terms.
  • Demonstrable a track record of continuous improvements in managing, processes, and systems.
  • An ambitious, enthusiastic, and positive mentality with the desire to progress within a reputable and fast-moving organisation.
  • CICM qualifications or working towards CICM is highly advantageous although not essential
