Job Description

CEIAG Coordinator - Oldham Your role will include being responsible for the delivery of the Academys work experience programme, work related learning and independent and impartial Careers Education Information Advice and Guidance service. You will also have to provide CEIAG to staffand students to ensure CEIAG delivery in the academy, working with staff and outside agencies. One of the important aspects of your role will be to ensure the academy is adhering to the statutory guidance for careers guidance.The students links to industry, you will have to develop robust relationships with Universities, FE Colleges, vocational institutions and the business community, including the Chamber of Commerce, the CBI and local employment agencies. This will help toidentify opportunities in the job market, work experience, apprenticeships and internships. To ensure a comprehensive programme of pre-employment advice and training is available for our students so they are job ready upon leaving KS4 and the Sixth Form. There are also wide opportunitiesfor students to engage in the local community and in the school life.CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS:Location - OldhamPosition - CEIAG CoordinatorType of work - Full TimeStart date - ASAPLikely Duration - ongoingContract type - TemporaryMinimum rate of pay - from £148.52 per dayHours - 8:30am - 4pmEXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:To hold, or at least be working towards, a level 6 qualification in career development (or equivalent)Evidence of further study and CPD5 or more GCSEs (including English and Maths) at grade C or higher. Or the equivalentPrevious experience working with young people (which we can reference)Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:Hold Right to Work in the UKHold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £45.80.Provide a minimum of two professional references.If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up-to-date CV.
