Job Description

Reed Bury St Edmunds is Excited to represent our client who are seeking an Area Sales Manager to support the Customer service and commercial team.The role will be home, and office based when not travelling, this role will be supporting the Europe Division and require traveling to the Middle East.The Area Sales Manager will utilise the company core values to develop and manage the territory in line with the business strategy of the Company. The development, training and support of the existing Distributor network and customers with the identificationof potential new strategic partners in the area.The Role

  • Responsibility for the creation and management of an effective distribution channel
  • The promotion of high levels of co-marketing activities, product training, Purchaser and end customer visits, and regular business review updates with the Distribution network.
  • To ensure that support is made available to Distributors and Purchasers and that targets agreed are achieved in respect of product and market sales.
  • To utilise specification sales techniques and promote my clients Unique Sales Points (USPs) to maximise the leverage of their product quality and renowned brand reputation.
  • To ensure that correct levels of pricing and margin recovery are maintained in accordance with the Company’s approved business plan and product strategies.
  • The production of high quality monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and marketing activity forecasts.
  • The development, training and support of the existing Distributor network and customers with the identification of potential new strategic partners in the area.
  • To liaise with Distributors, Customers and the Companys Engineering & Design Department (as necessary) to ensure the correct specification is obtained that represents the Customers requirements.
  • To carry out commercial negotiations under the supervision of senior management to secure orders which are commercially, contractually and logistically acceptable to the Company.
Extensive travel as required for the delivery of the objectives of the role.About you
  • Strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills.
  • Good administrative skills and very high attention to detail.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Computer proficient skills including MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft TEAMS.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven work experience gained within an external sales role in a multicultural international business.
  • Experience working through a distributor sales network.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • A degree would be advantageous or equivalent work experience in a related role.
  • A second language would be an advantage.
  • The ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude always.
  • A strong work ethic with a willingness to undertake extensive international travel is required and the ability to mentor and influence the behaviour of others.
  • Experience working within the MEAI region would be an advantage.
The offerNegotiable and dependent on experience, qualifications and attitude.Sales Management Bonus Scheme with annual order targets and agreed performance criteria.Company Group Personal Pension Scheme:An allowance is provided in accordance with Company Policy.23 days rising to 25 days plus Bank Holidays.
