Job Description

Accounts/Finance Manager required. Our client is a fast-growing professional services firm with a unique approach. To maximise the quality of service they can provide to their clients, theyve expanded to incorporate wealth management, accounting, and legalservices in-house from their offices in Exeter, Newquay, Edinburgh, and Liskeard.   • As an Accounts Manager you will be joining a skilled team of accountants, working on a varied portfolio of clients to provide a range of services.
  • Within your role there will be the opportunity to train and manage junior accounts team members. There will also be an expectation for you to have an active role in the strategic and operational development of the Accounts Team.
  • Managing a portfolio of clients providing services to include annual accounts, self- assessment tax, corporation tax, VAT, bookkeeping and other specialist areas of work.
  • Handling day-to-day client requests and supporting their business development and compliance.
  • Overseeing the work of Accounts Assistants and providing the necessary support or training.
  • Develop and maintain strong and long-lasting relationships with clients.
  • Proactively supporting clients with their accounting and tax planning needs.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Producing and preparing accounts updates to clients and management.
  • Reviewing work completed by team members and effectively communicating with clients to ensure understanding of their businesss financial performance and obligations.
  • Successfully monitoring clients management accounts, explaining any variances, or planning opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • An excellent understanding of our client as a company and its goals.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong data collection and analysis skills.
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
