Job Description

Production EngineerOverall Job Purpose: You will be expected to ensure the safe and efficient running of the assembly and moulding machines to the required quality standard. This role will also involve troubleshooting, improving product quality, increasingreliability, reducing downtime and improving manufacturing efficiency.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities:

  • Carry out change overs to other product sizes/types, proving and trialling them prior to release them into production.
  • Create detailed work instructions and process settings that facilitate efficient component assembly.
  • To train and develop colleagues and operatives.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and submit reasons to Management.
  • Ensure all work is undertaken to a high-quality standard.
  • To carry out any other reasonable tasks as may be requested from time to time by the company.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety regulations at all times.
Person Specification
  • Previous experience in a similar role working as a production engineer.
  • Ability to use hand/power tools
  • Ability to cope with physical work (lifting, bending, moving heavy components)
  • Comfortable working in a workshop environment (noise, standing for long periods of time)
  • Work well on your own and as part of a small team.
  • Must have demonstrable knowledge and experience with a combination of pneumatics, basic electrics, mechanics and general maintenance.
