Job Description

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with Special Educational Needs We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Mentor to join our dynamic team at our SEN Unit in Exeter for a full time and long term role.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group support to students aged 4-16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop tailored strategies for student success.
  • Implement behaviour management techniques to promote a positive and safe atmosphere.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is ideal but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of various learning styles and abilities.
  • Any kind of support work, childcare or SEN experience is welcomed.
Working Hours:Enjoy a fulfilling work-life balance with regular working hours from Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, and on Fridays from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Experience our unique Wellbeing Fridays every 6 weeks, allowing you to finish at 1:00 pm and prioritiseyour own mental health and relaxation.Competitive Pay:As a valued member of our team, youll receive a highly competitive daily rate of £90.
