Job Description

.Seven Social Care is looking for a Housing Visitor Officer to assist the local authority to perform its statutory duty to carry out housing suitability inspections of accommodation.Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out inspections to assess the suitability of accommodations offered to Ukrainian guests site visits to properties included in the Homes for Ukrainians project.
  • To carry out appropriate safe guarding checks on sponsors duties as directed by the Private Sector Housing Manager to
  • Ensure service delivery within.
  • Accurately gather and record information during inspections.
  • Confidently disseminate information to Sponsors and Ukrainian guests
  • To keep detailed records of inspection details and forward information to senior officers where properties housing health and safety hazards have been identified.
  • To ensure appropriate records of all communications, inspections, identification visits and other actions relating to each property included in the Home for Ukrainians project is updated on the teams property database and other filing systems.
  • Adhere General Data Protection Rules (GDPR) to ensure that personal and sensitive information is handled securely.
  • Where necessary, relating to breaches of legislation, take and record evidence, provide statements of witness.
  • To adhere to all Council organisational policies and procedures.
Applicant Requirements:
  • Experience: Experience working in the housing sector
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
