Princess Alice Hospice is one of the top ten adult hospices in the UK providing specialist palliative care in a superb purpose-built 24 bedded In-Patient Unit (IPU) and Day Hospice, and in the community.We received Outstanding in all 5 domains from the CQC, a result we are immensely proud of. We pride ourselves on our holistic, patient and family centred approach to end of life care and our specialist symptom control.About the Role:We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to join the fundraising team of Princess Alice Hospice, who will be responsible for developing, growing and implementing a philanthropy strategy to ensure the hospice achieves significant gifts from major donors and trusts and foundations.We provide excellent palliative and end of life care in our Hospice and in the community. We are seeking to nurture compassionate communities so that we are all better supported as we face death, dying, grief and loss and we share our knowledge and expertise through our education and research programmes. The members of our team of staff, volunteers and supporters are positive, passionate and professional. We know we can’t prevent death, but we do everything we can to make it as good as possible. Because above all, we believe that hospice care is for living.Our aim is to have even greater impact, supporting more people affected by life limiting illness. To achieve this, we need to grow our income and that’s where you come in. It costs over £10.3m each year to provide our free, high quality care and as a charity, 78% of our income is generated by fundraising, our 45 retail shops, donations and legacies.You will be dynamic, proactive and results driven, with experience of philanthropy fundraising and securing gifts of 6 figures. You will be used to developing effective relationships and working collaboratively with colleagues from other disciplines.This is a new role which represents a great opportunity for someone to join a dynamic fundraising team and make their mark.Closing Date: 26th July 2020 Interview Date: w/c 10th August 2020 - TBC
