Job Description

We are recruiting a Financial Controller to join our group of Caompanies for a fixed term of 18 months to cover maternity leave. The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who enjoys the pace and ever changing environment in a challenging business.Healix International Group has approx. 300 employees globally with turnover of around £25m. The Finance team consists of 14 people split between trading, disbursements and Management Information. This role is responsible for the trading profit & loss, balancesheet and cashflow.We are looking for an all-rounder, happy to get stuck into detailed analysis, able to review management accounts, and discuss performance against budgets with the relevant budget holders across the business. This role is also responsible for the Audit workwith Menzies to submit our annual accounts.Part of the role is focusing on the management and development of a small team with varying abilities and levels of experience.   • Line Management of a team of 4, including reviews, coaching and development
  • Management of cashflow including weekly forecasting
  • Review & Authorisation of Accounts Payable on a weekly basis including review of all employee expenses and management of foreign currency balances and payments.
  • Review of and preparation of monthly Management Accounts for Exec team.
  • Detailed understanding of the UK cost base and provision of written commentaries to explain trends and variances.
  • Exercising control over the balance sheets for all group entities.
  • Monthly review meetings of performance against budget and reforecast with relevant Budget holders
  • Responsible for the statutory financial accounts of all UK entities, Ireland, Luxembourg and Belgium.Responsibility for the statutory financial accounts of all group entities, annual audit process and liaising with our Auditors and Tax Consultants
  • Preparation and submission of VAT/GST Returns for UK & Foreign entities
  • Managing the budget preparation, and subsequent reforecasting across the group of companies
  • Ensuring compliance with Group financial policies and FRS 102.Ensuring compliance with Group financial policies and FRS 102.
  • Production & analysis of Metrics to support the Operational business
We are looking for the following skills, experience and qualifications:
  • An eye for detail and good analytical skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to confidently communicate at all levels.
  • Excellent IT skills i.e. must be fully competent in MS Office software.
  • Strong data handling and manipulation skills are essential and as a result advanced excel knowledge is required.
  • Experience of Access Dimensions (our Accounting Software) is preferable
  • Experience of Cognos Planning Analytics is preferable
  • In-depth working knowledge of FRS102, VAT requirements, and relevant regulatory reporting obligations.
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified
