Claremont Fan Court School is an independent day school for children aged from 2½ to 18 years. The school is set in 99 acres of historic landscaped grounds of the Claremont Estate in Esher, Surrey.We are seeking to appoint a reliable and hard working estate groundsperson to work as part of the Estate team responsible for the care and maintenance of the schools extensive grounds. This is a special opportunity to work in a landscape designed in part by Capability Brown.Working throughout the year, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week typically to be worked 7.30am-4.00pm. The role will assist the Grounds Manager in maintaining the grade l listed decorative landscape, lawns, paths, roads, woodlands and boundaries of the Claremont estate. Additionally working as part of the wider estate team on site security, parking management, event logistics and portering as and when needed.The successful applicant will be a strong team member and equally capable of working on their own. Previous grounds keeping/maintenance experience is essential. Experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage but is not essential.
