Workshop Controller This is a permanent opportunity, for someone with hands-on management experience, or looking to make that step up. Working with a dynamic and innovative automotive company dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology and design in the automotive industry. As a Workshop Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our vehicle-build workshop. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities, managing workflow, and optimising productivity within your team, ensuringvehicles and components are built to the highest standards of quality and reliability while meeting specifications. Key Responsibilities:* Coordinate the construction and assembly of special vehicles and components, including chassis, suspension systems, powertrain components, electrical systems, interiors, and bodywork. * Assign work orders to technicians based on skill level and workload capacity.* Collaborate with management and engineers to ensure specifications and requirements are being met.* Monitor workflow and address any issues or delays to minimise downtime. * Utilise advanced in-house manufacturing techniques to best manage vehicle production.* Perform quality inspections and testing to ensure quality and safety standards are being met. * Maintain accurate labour hours and parts used logs using an internal IT system.Requirements:* Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.* Proven experience building vehicles from the ground up, with a strong track record.* Extensive knowledge of all vehicle systems.* Proficiency in component fitting, engine building, and vehicle restoration techniques. * Leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and mentor team members to achieve performance goals. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
