Job Description

Microsoft Cloud Specialist - Azure & O365 - 3rd Line. £65k - £70k + £3,360 Car Allowance or Company Car + Benefits Package. Warwick, Warwickshire. Onsite - Monday to Friday. Permanent. T6/MN/18432.*Must be eligible to work in the UK - the client is unable to provide sponsorship. Global organisation is seeking to secure an experienced Microsoft Cloud Specialist - Azure & O365 - 3rd Line. The organization is currently transforming their IT Operations, so this is an exciting time to join and be part of a transforming IT Service.Role:

  • Providing effective Level 3 Azure, O365, Automation, Network, Infrastructure & Security support.
  • Deployment of Microsoft Cloud Services - covering development, security & deployment
  • Provide Level 3 escalation support for all entity Azure & O365 issues escalated from Service Desk & Level 2 support teams.
  • Routine contact point - receiving & handling escalation requests for Level 3 support - responding to Level 3 service requests & incidents.
  • Provide 3rd line investigation & diagnosis - promptly escalate unresolved issues to external vendor support.
  • Assist with the development of Standards - apply these to track, monitor, report, resolve or escalate issues.
  • Contribute to the planning & implementation of maintenance Microsoft Cloud solutions.
  • Automation - configure tools to Automate the provisioning, testing & deployment of new & changed Cloud Infrastructure, Services & Microservices.
  • Identifies operational Cloud, Network, Infrastructure & Security problems - contribute to their resolution.
  • Problem Management to identify root causes.
  • Use System Management software & tools to collect agreed performance statistics & monitor Cloud systems availability & capacity.
  • Documentation - create & maintain Cloud, Network, Infrastructure & Security system documentation.
  • Third Party Liaison - partnering with an external Network Partner for major incidents.
  • Attend Weekly Team meetings - attend a remote team meeting 1 evening every week to align with Global IT Teams.
  • On-call - provide out-of-hours support as required - will be on-call 1 week in every 4 weeks - will be remunerated.
Technical Skills Required:
  • Azure - Managing & deploying Azure services - Virtual Machine, Databases, Storage, Virtual Network, Azure Resource Manager, Azure Site Recovery, Azure backups/restores, Azure High Availability, Azure Microservices - 3+ years’ experience.
  • Azure & O365 Security
  • Office 365 - managing & deploying common Office 365 Services - users, security, SharePoint, Exchange, Teams, migrating Office 365 domains, AAD directory sync, Hybrid AD environment & Licensing - 3 years’ experience.
  • Office 365 Security & Compliance - implementing & managing - DLP, Information Governance, Advanced Threat Management, AIP, Secure Score - 3+ years experience.
  • Azure - design, implementation & managing Cloud Networking & Security - Firewalls, Network Security Groups, Express Route, Azure VPN, Microsoft Azure Networking & Security best practices - 3+ years’ experience.
  • Azure & Office 365 - deploying new cloud workloads - 3+ years’ experience.
  • LANs & WANs - design, deploy, support & manage global networks - 3+ years’ experience.
  • Azure Security knowledge, implementation & monitoring.
  • Network & Infrastructure Security knowledge- implementation & monitoring.
  • Azure Automation & PowerShell scripting.
  • Azure Active Directory Domain Services, Azure B2C, on-prem domain controllers, conditional access & Azure AAD Sync, Hybrid AD.
  • Azure Security Centre - review & implementation of security recommendations, threat protection, JIT, Azure Sentinel (or other SIEM).
  • Azure availability, capacity management & monitoring.
  • On-premise AD role based & Access Control - developing & implementation.
  • Intune - deployment across Laptops - policy creation, device enrollment, device compliance, policy troubleshooting, Autopilot & PowerShell scripts.
  • SQL Databases - MySQL, MSSQL, Azure Cosmos, Azure SQL As A Service - deployment & administration.
  • Windows 2019 - 2022 Server support experience.
  • DevOps principles & practices experience.
  • Technical Documentation - developing & maintaining documentation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively - oral & written.
  • Ability to present complex information to both technical & non-technical stakeholders/audiences.
  • Team player - collaborative approach to teamwork.

  • Microsoft/Azure Certifications (e.g., AZ-103/104, MS-500, MS-101, AZ-500).
