Job Description

Mould Tool TechnicianAn excellent opportunity for individuals with experience of working with machinery in a manufacturing environment and some welding experience to join a FMCG leader who supply their products globally based at a modern facility in Elton. Reporting to the Mould Shop Chargehand.Full training can be provided though for this role however wed love an individual with an acumen, understanding and passion for engineering related activities and machinery.Full-time Fixed Term Contracts available (Initially FTC until 31/12/2021)Qualities we look for;

  • Preferred some welding experience and engineering background or passion.
  • Experience of working with machinery in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided
  • It is essential that the successful candidate will have the ability to work on their own initiative, be conscientious and have a strong attention to detail.
  • The successful candidate will be required to adhere to all the companys health & safety policies and procedures and to ensure high house-keeping standards are met at all times.

  • To carry out mould inspection and repair work to acceptable quality standards.
  • To work to instruction and meet departmental discipline standards and procedures.
  • Build, repair and maintain mould tooling
  • Maintaining the mould tools and making sure they are ready for when needed.
  • To ensure equipment is repaired and delivered to production within suitable time.
  • Use of air assisted power tools.
  • Welding using Acetylene and Oxygen
  • Clean as you go at all times
  • Maintain health and safety in the workplace and ensure work area is kept in accordance with housekeeping standards.
  • Rotating 3 week shift patterns
  • Week 1 Mon-Thurs 8-16.45 Fri 7.30-15.45 Sun 6-14.45
  • Week 2 - Mon-Wed 6-14.45, Thurs 6-14.15
  • Week 3 Tues-Thurs 6-14.45, Fri 6-14.15, Sat 6-14.45
