Job Description

Machine Operator (Technical Operator Beverages)Permanent OpportunityAn excellent opportunity for individuals experience working within fast paced manufacturing and production environments to join a leading global manufacturer of high quality products based at a modern facility in Elton, Cheshire.While we will provide thorough training on our machines and beverages production lines wed love somebody who has some experience operating machinery or systems in an busy FMCG business.The primary purpose of this role is to be Responsible for the efficient running of the specify work area in the Filling Hall. Ensuring process and packaging operations are delivered to company standards for safety, product quality and customer expectationsQualities we look for;

  • Experience of working in a food environment, BRC/ISO/HACCP an advantage.
  • Technical aptitude/experience i.e. the ability to logically diagnose process/machine problem areas.
  • Experience of modern manufacturing approaches. AM/TPM/6S etc.
  • Use of palletisers, rinser, fillers, cappers, labelling or other relatable packaging and production machinery
  • Positive and continuous enthusiasm towards work.
  • Must be punctual and on time.
  • Target driven in wanting to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Must have good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Microsoft Office suite knowledge (Particularly Excel)
  • Shift patterns (rotational) vary, covering 12 hour shifts, including night shifts rotation.

  • Ensure that all tasks are completed in accordance with Encirc Health & Safety regulations.
  • Understand and comply with all relevant safety procedures and regulations.
  • To comply with all Food Safety Legislation communicated through the Hygiene Policy, the Quality System and Briefings.
  • Operate to the required standards on all filling line equipment;
  • Rinser/filler/cappers
  • Labellers - wet glue, self-adhesive, tax stamps
  • Packers - Multi-pack / case / tray & shrink
  • Inspection machines - EBI, check mat, closure, label application
  • Depalletiser / Palletisers
  • Coding machines - bottle/label/case
  • Perform product and equipment changeovers in the required timeframe - involves use of tools, adjusting settings, etc.
  • Complete all relevant production documentation / records
  • Perform first line maintenance/asset care - machine deep clean, adjustment, lubrication and so forth
  • Perform quality checks and complete required documentation/records, using gauges, instruments and data recording system;
  • Liquid quality checks - temp, CO2, DO, fill levels and so forth
  • Packaging checks - closures, labels, cases, date/batch codes, etc.
  • Effective use of packaging materials, stock management, recording, etc.
  • Understand and comply with all relevant GMP procedures
  • Understand and comply with all HMRC procedures
  • Ensure all work areas and equipment within your control are maintained to a high standard, by implementing the 6S strategy.
  • Perform effective shift handovers
  • Shift patterns (rotational) vary, covering 12 hour shifts, including night shifts rotation.
