Job Description

Adecco are proud to be working with our client, an energy company which funds and develops low carbon heat and power solutions including biomass heat installations, solar PV and flexible energy plants. Their goal to help UK businesses and organisations unlock the potential of decentralised, sustainable energy which supports the UKs transition to a net zero economy.As our clients business continues to grow, we are supporting them in finding an experienced Stock Services Administrator to join them on a permanent, long term basis.Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager and working closely with the Stock Controller you will be responsible for maintaining a true reflection of real time stock on Sage compared to the actual physical counts. Supporting the Purchase Ledger, you will ensure all purchase orders are verified and receipted in a timely manner to enable processing of invoices.Main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Verify the receipt of purchase orders for stock, goods and services from information emailed in from depots
  • Maintain accurate records on the DMR for suppliers and our own depots with the collected and delivered weights against the correct release number/sales order number provided by hauliers and depots
  • Reconcile balances on companies vehicles daily
  • To support the Stock Controller to reconcile the stock at our own depots
  • Record fibre processing on Sage using the drying site DMR
  • Complete month end stock physical vs actual report for depots
  • Support Purchase and Sales Ledger with details of collected and delivered weights
  • Successful candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
  • Can demonstrate relevant experience in a similar position (stock control/warehouse admin/goods in)
  • Proven ability of accurate record keeping
  • An understanding of stock and financial processes
  • Good computer literacy - including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • ERP systems knowledge (Sage)/use of stock control systems
  • Person specification:
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills
  • Organised with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Based in their new Hooton offices, you will work full time (40 hours), Monday to Friday.
